Peggy and Sam Stewart have deep roots in the communities of Cortland, Howland, Austintown, and Warren having grown up, worked, and lived in the region their whole lives. They understand the hardworking people who call this place home and saw a need for more accessible, affordable therapeutic massage and quality skincare. 

So in 2023, the Stewarts opened Cortland Massage Clinic to create a welcoming space where everyone could experience the wellness benefits of massage and facials. Their services aim to reduce stress, relieve pain, increase mobility, and improve overall well-being. The Stewarts believe self-care through massage shouldn't be a luxury - it's an essential part of maintaining health.

As clinic director and lead massage therapist, Peggy focuses on providing customized care based on each client's needs. She not only specializes but is trained In the techniques of Myofascial, Shiatsu, T'ui Na, and Accupressure Massage, with advanced certifications in Prenatal and Oncology Massage. A good listener, Peggy educates and collaborates with clients to determine the optimal treatment plan.

Meanwhile, Sam handles behind-the-scenes operations, from finance to tech, enabling Peggy to focus on client care. He supports Peggy in recruiting and training qualified massage therapists and estheticians who share their passion for helping others.

The clinic’s soothing atmosphere was carefully designed to relax clients from the moment they arrive. Calming colors, soft music, and aromatherapy work together to engage the parasympathetic nervous system. This peaceful setting stimulates feelings of tranquility while enhancing the body's natural healing abilities.
